4D3N JAKARTA CULINARY EXPERIENCE Print E-mail

 

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Singapore - Jakarta (D)

Arrive at Jakarta Soekarno - Hatta International Airport, meet with our local guide and transfer for sightseeing tour. Next, visit Batik Danar Hadi and after that check in to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant

Day 2: Jakarta - Cooking Class (B/L)

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, you will visit the local market to get ingredients for your cooking lesson. Cooking Class wil be conducted at Dapur Babah Restaurant. After cooking, all participants taste the meals for their lunch. After that, free at leisure.

Day 3: Jakarta (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, you will visit the Safari Park. Lunch and Dinner will be served at local Restaurant.

Day 4: Jakarta - Singapore (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Free at leisure until transfer to airport for your flight back home.

~ Sort of sour and seet fsih soup, cooked with tamarind and "Blimbing woeloeh"

~ Originally the Javanese chicken curry, this gradually changed in the Njoja babah kitchens, influenced by the Dutch eating culture of that time, adding potatoes and kaffir lime leaves and with lighter consistency among athers

Nasi Goreng Desa
~Humble but delicious fried rice with fresh vegetable of the day, Javanese baby chicken and chicken liver a special recipe from Javanese village warong, salted fish crackers

Boeboer Soemsoem Pandan Dengen Klapa Moeda
~ Javanese pandanus dessert with coconut milk and palm sugar

~ Pandanus rice flour "dawet" mixed with fermented black sticky rice, coconut milk, liquid palm sugar

Loempia Goreng of Lompia Semarang
~ Old recipes of crispy spring rolls from Babah families in Semarang, Central Java, illed with Banboo shoots and shrimps, served with sweet and sour sauce

Sop Ajam Lenkoeas
~ Chicken soup with galangal, looks like Indonesia Soto but different

Ikan Belanak Masak Katjang dan Petai Boemboe Taotjo
~ Fresh gray mullet, stewed with special "petai" beans and oriental fermented bean sauce
